a one piece aluminum unit. I was afraid of using non-OEM parts, and thought the one piece would vibrate too much. That was two years ago, and today I know that most replacements with a one piece d/shaft have been w/o incident or problems. I thought the center carrier bearing would stablize the middle, but I don't think it has worked out the way the engineers thought it would, instead the bearing has been a problem, not an asset. The weight is the biggest factor for using an aluminum one piece. When you drop the OEM unit, you'll see what I mean. It is heavy!! And yes, change your trans isolator [support]. it is damaged, like collapsed. gordo
